Cody Stewart’s Mock Draft 1.0 picks 1-10
Spread the love

We are a little under two months away from the 2016 NFL Draft. With the combine finishing earlier this week, let’s take a look at who goes where in the top 10 picks.

1. Tennessee Titans – OT Laremy Tunsil, OT Ole Miss

After getting their franchise QB in last year’s draft, look for Tennessee to finally get him some protection.

2. Cleveland Browns – Carson Wentz, QB North Dakota St

They say Cleveland is the place where QB careers die. With a new regime, look for Hue Jackson to get a franchise QB and mold him the right way.

3. San Diego Chargers – Jalen Ramsey, S Florida St

It’s all but certain the Chargers are going to lose Eric Weddle in free agency. A talent like Ramsey doesn’t come along too often. San Diego will scoop him up in a heartbeat.

4. Dallas Cowboys – Deforest Buckner, DE Oregon

With Greg Hardy set to leave the Cowboys for good, look for Dallas to find his replacement in a big way with Buckner.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars – Joey Bosa, DE Ohio St

Their lack of a pass rush was concerning. In a division that has Andrew Luck and the up and coming Marcus Mariota, QB pressure is a necessity.

6. Baltimore Ravens – Vernon Hargreaves III, CB Florida

The secondary was brutal last year. With Antonio Brown, AJ Green, etc. in this division, Baltimore has to make CB a priority.

7. San Francisco 49ers – Paxton Lynch, QB Memphis

With Kaepernick and his agent setting sights on a new team, look for San Fran and Chip Kelly to pull the trigger on a franchise QB.

8. Miami Dolphins – Ronnie Staley, OT Notre Dame

If the Dolphins want to succeed, they have to protect Ryan Tannehill. Staley is just the man to help out.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Ezekiel Elliott, RB Ohio St

It doesn’t look like Doug Martin will be going back to Tampa Bay. With Elliott on the board, watch for Tampa Bay to pair Jameis Winston with a lethal ground game for years to come.

10. New York Giants – Myles Jack, LB UCLA

A LB hasn’t been drafted in the first round by New York since 1984. That will change this year due to the lack of depth and athleticism on this roster.
